How to Apply Your Porch Sign Stencil

1. Prepare the Surface: Ensure your 10×48″ wooden board is fully painted or stained, completely dry, and free of sawdust or debris.

2. Align the Sections: Position the top section of the stencil onto your board. Use a scraper tool or credit card to smooth down the stencil, adhering it firmly to the wood.

3. Peel the Transfer Tape: Slowly peel back the clear transfer tape at a sharp 45-degree angle, leaving the vinyl stencil attached to the board. Repeat for remaining sections, matching up alignment marks.

4. Paint & Peel: Apply thin layers of acrylic or chalk paint using a stencil dabbing brush or dense foam roller. Do not overload the brush with wet paint. Peel off the vinyl stencil while the final coat of paint is slightly tacky for the cleanest edges.
